“The big secret to keeping community alive is to give, give, give. Have the courage to create and invite others to participate. When you do, the world will open up to you…”

Happy Sunday Fam! 💕
What a creative and imaginative week we’ve had! Must be that new moon thang. 🌙Our fam in Chicago rocked out on a rooftop with a DJ booth accented with a stained glass structure made by our community catalyst, Davis (see above). We are in awe of the amazing artisans and artistes that are always so down to share their talents and contribute an extra zest of character to our spaces.🙏
In Miami, we danced inside the stunning Faena Forum on Miami Beach. It made for a magical morning in paradise. The structure is dedicated to showcasing groundbreaking work in art, and we could feel these creative vibes fueling our every dip, turn and dougie. Here’s to more exploring, fam. ✨
And now… keep scrolling for a new dance floor tale, funky playlist, upcoming events and 3 things you can do today to totally transform tomorrow (they’re supes fun — try ’em!). Sending hugs. 🤗

✨A SELF-PROCLAIMED “SILVER HAIRED RARITY”✨
Have I ever attended a Daybreaker alone? WHOO-HOOO! I almost ALWAYS show up alone….but I’m only alone for a little while until my goofy smile meets someone else’s and we start syncing dance moves. 👯
I remember my first Daybreaker DC, three years ago in a venue underneath the Whitehurst Freeway in Georgetown. I had read about the movement in a New York Times article, in which the reporter covered an event in SF. The article talked about the awesome early morning vibe and the freshness of dancing together BEFORE work with only water and coffee as fuel. ☕️💦I said to myself “If that ever comes to DC, I am SOOOO going.”
Daybreaker DC finally launched, and I was thrilled when I got the message announcing the event. 🎉 I danced my heart out that morning and was enfolded into the community with my chosen spirit name of “Harte” (also my family name before I got married).
At that early event in the DC Daybreaker fam, I was a silver-haired rarity. I even got interviewed by a news service that was covering the event, wanting to know why I had showed up! “The energy speaks for itself,” I told the reporter. That “why, Silver Lady?” interview wouldn’t happen nowadays because the DC fam has been so open and welcoming that you’ll often see other silvers dancing in the dawn.🕺
I was embraced that day by Daybreaker DC’s awesome leader Haile Supreme and bonded to that community. Daybreaker is a joy practice for me, a bedrock of my commitment to intentional living — breaking every day like we do at Daybreaker.💕
With love & mischief,

These 3 Mini Challenges are like Hitting Sunday Reset: because affirmations rewire our brain chemistry, we should probs put our phones down for at least 20 mins, and our intuitions are fun to follow.
🙌 Wake Up Like Oprah: The legend herself told Harper’s Bazaar that every morning she reads from her “365 Gathered Truths box.” These are little nuggets of inspiration or affirmations if you will. Science shows that the brain is malleable and we can actually re-pattern our brains — affirmations are one way to do this. Try writing a few.
📲Leave the phone at home: Everyone always says it, but do we ever actually do it? (s’okay, we’re guilty too! 🙋). So here’s your mini challenge for the rest of the day: be it a coffee date with a friend or walk in the woods, try leaving your phone at home (literally, at home) so you can be fully present in the moment instead. Your CNS (central nervous system) will thank you.
🙏Hone Your Intuition: #Casual… many spiritual gurus say our intuition is like an internal GPS. It can guide us in our work flow, how we choose to relax and everything in between. Take Sunday night to experiment with following only what your intuition wants. It may sound a little woo-woo, but it’s actually pretty fun and can prep your mind to feel clearer at work tomorrow. Pro Tip: a great way to “listen” is to “feel the energy of the idea of the presented activity” before you jump in fully. To do this, think about engaging in the activity. If a positive energy floods your body (calm, ease, giddiness, excitement, flow), doooo it!
There’s a wonderful week ahead.✨
