// Dear Daybreaker Diary,

The unicorns pranced, the children danced, and the music reverberated through our city, waking us all to this new beginning.✨

In other words — the family’s expanded, y’all.💖 😊  And we are so excited to report that our launch in Austin, Texas was filled with more fun than we could have ever imagined a grocery store could hold. (Oh, did we mention we partied on the rooftop of the biggest Whole Foods Market in ATX?🎉)

Here’s what we learned from our inaugural getdown.

Lesson #1 // Nothing beats watching the sunrise while in lotus pose (or in these ones).☀️

Lesson #2 // Hugs are 18,457 times more epic when preceded by a welcome gong.

Lesson #3 // If you need to keep the energy high in Texas, a hubby-wife duo is the way to go — especially when they’re as legendary as these guys (srsly, Chaka and Qi are shape shifting community out here.)💥

Lesson #4 // Animal onesies. They still get us every time.🐼 🦁 🐧

Lesson #6 // Dance circles are for making friends.💖

Lesson #7 // If you need a dance circle in the first place, DJ Manny Dojo is the one you want on the 1’s and 2’s.

Lesson #8 // Hula Hoops make the dopest picture frames. (oh and Nnedi Nebula is our new go-to hula hoop guru.)

Lesson #9 // Soul Trains are still a thing.🙌

Lesson #10 // And so are conga lines.☝️

Lesson #11 // If Ruby Jane Smith and the Soul Food Horns were in a battle of the bands — …. yeah we legit don’t know who would win. They were both so good. Like so. good.🎻 🎷

Lesson #12 // It’s never too soon to start dancing (just bring your dad if you haven’t mastered walking.)🎀

Lesson #13 // If the Whole Foods Market rooftop had a roof, we’d be raising it.🙌  (ohhhh, snapp.)

Austin, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick this off. Your costumes, your dance moves, that blow up boom box that we’re still giggling over and your energy were everything.
