Funclaimer: This is really fun stuff that we just started diving into. Much is still up to debate in the science world and we are by no means experts, but we’ve been expanding our thinking and becoming explorers of thought. The stuff we’ve uncovered is so cool.
At Daybreaker, we might brush arms with someone mid dance move. We exchange smiles beneath the bubble machine. Or we find ourselves squashed next to strangers during our sweaty group hug.
Don’t underestimate the power of these moments.
Bruce Rosenblum, professor of physics at the University of California Santa Cruz, says that once we do so much as shake hands with a person, we are “forever entangled.”
This all has to do with the idea of nonlocality which says we are all interconnected by a field of energy and intelligence. We don’t necessarily need to physically do something to another person or thing in order to affect it. Once an atom is merely in the presence of another atom, they can forever influence one another. Because of this, crazy “coincidences” happen, like we think of someone from our past and suddenly they call our phone.
This might feel crazy to people who think concretely. Science that deals with “cause and effect” is of course very true, but there’s so much more at play.
Dr Jacobo Grinberg-Zylberbaum hooked two test subjects to electroencephalographs. The two subjects were in separate rooms. However, after subject A was exposed to a series of strobe lights in one room, the brain-wave patterns of test subject B (who had been in a completely separate room, not viewing these flashes) reflected the same brain activity of subject A who had just watched the series of lights in real life.
Woah.
1. // If you’re having conflict with a relationship in your life and you want to improve it — consciously take time every day to visualize this person feeling incredibly happy and getting all the things they want in life. Try it for 30 days. Don’t be surprised if you suddenly start getting along again.
2.// Draw more friendships into your life. Envision those people who you previously “brushed atoms with.” Create a positive affirmation and set an intention. It might be “I have a booming social life that’s filled with strong connections and people I love. I am receiving a plethora of invitations for friend dates.” Sit in the feeling of this thought and bask in how you want a life like this to feel. Be really open to it and suspend disbelief that this is too kooky to work for the 3 minutes or so you sit in this practice each day.
